Presence
The acclaimed director challenges his directorial skills through this clever supernatural story shot entirely through the eyes of a ghost. After a clan including mother Rebekah and her distressed teen Chloe occupies their new suburban house, the lens – representing the ghost – follows them around. The Tammy Faye Biopic
In the conflict between spirituality and money, the winner is obvious for greed in Michael Showalter's delightfully tacky biopic regarding the shamed televangelist plus her lawbreaking partner. Garfield portrays the greedy Jim, who proclaims initially, asserting religious justification for riches. He and Tammy Faye begin monetising the nation's religious faith. It's a riot of bad interior design, bad makeup and hypocrisy, though the lead actress succeeds to show the character as a sympathetic figure. Next Tuesday, early morning, the Film4 channel
