Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid period, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and issues with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with former mentor his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
This represents his initial championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from that period of that year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has achieved 21 championships at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my children at once, so to get a title is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his last six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the tennis court had prompted some to wonder if his ability to play at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete positively, reinforced by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a break down in the first set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
Moutet saved 4 initial opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
